The Down and Dirty ADM Thread

Honestly, do you guys think the 2019 GT350 R's will have the same ADM drama as the previous years? I'm hoping the GT500 takes most of that away. I'm looking to purchase an R in December/January.

From what I've seen around my neck of the wood, YES. I would expect the 19 R to have less production numbers than the 18 R. I would expect YUGE ADM's on the GT500.

There was an 18R white with blue stripes next to mine that went for a tad under MSRP to a guy from Cali. He flew in to drive it home.

Ya I think out of state for me is probably the way to go. Now I'm wondering if it's even worth waiting for the 19 when I can still get a new 18 without the drama. I'm actually looking for a black one without stripes just like yours.

Nice deal! I just know that If I end up getting the regular 350, I'll later regret not getting an R.

I hope that I am wrong but would suggest that ADM's will still be very prevalent with the 2019 R models and the reasons for that are numerous.

The new GT500 may help a little with respect to selling price of the 2019 R but keep in mind that these two Mustangs are totally different animals with each have their own following with many enthusiasts wanting only a NA engine whereas others wanting the mega torque and horsepower of the FI GT500 therefore I don't see the GT500 becoming a big factor with respect to R model enthusiasts.

If you are wanting to purchase a 2019 R model it certainly won't happen in December or January and would suggest that the earliest R models to become available will be sometime in May at the very best. Production at FR for the R model will probably not start until sometime in March and will railcar/flatcar shortages transit times will not be good thus many cars in May, June and July.

With production for the R's not starting until sometime next Spring total production numbers will probably be somewhat less than the 629 R's built for the 2018MY thus dealerships will probably hold their guns with respect to pricing especially since an R model is typically very difficult to secure.

Good luck with your purchase of an R and hope that I am totally wrong on the ADM issue and that you find a great deal sometime next Spring!

For all those searching for their 350... all I can say is , don't give up...almost 2 yrs in the ownership experience after a 3 month searching period - 100% worth it.

This is my 3rd Mustang and while it was not easy acquiring one but getting one at the right price paid off.

I was lucky to get mine local in NYC with no ADM (but a little bit of a wash with the trade in, I was getting rid of it after all)...

All that washes away when you're the ONLY 350 at 90% of meets. 80% of track days.

Theres a lot of corvettes out there though.

Is there any summary of dealers that don't have ADM. I will drive a car home from about anywhere to not pay ADM.
Just wondering as i'm thinking of picking up a 2019 gt350.... possibly a 500 depending on specs intent and msrp.

Ended up getting a brand new Oxford White '18 R at MSRP from Town East Ford (I'm the guy JR369 is talking about). Great dealership to work with, btw. Ended up towing it home 1700 miles away on a U-Haul car trailer.

I have been looking for an MSRP deal for the past 3 months. From the information I gathered, it seemed like the states in the middle (TX, OK, TN) were more willing to come down to MSRP or extremely close to it. The states on the coast are still holding their extremely high ADM's, however, if piqued interest in the flesh, they were willing to "come down lower" usually to around $8K-$10K. Seems like the people who have been waiting for the prices to drop are now coming out of the sticks to buy R's and no one really knows how many GT350/R's will be built for 2019.

For what it's worth, dealerships in the SF Bay Area were willing to go $1k under MSRP for their '18 GT350s around 1 month ago.

You guys looking for deals aren’t looking hard enough. One of our local dealers just sold a new ‘18 GT350 he was advertising at $5K off MSRP for months - and still has a new ‘17 priced at $7,900 off MSRP!
