Is an R for $15 ADM a good deal?
It would be lower than most markups for it. I'd consider $10k unpassable though. $15k I'd have to think about pretty hard. $20k is basically everywhere.

Are you talking a 2016 or 2017 R?

There is a difference in my opinion.

Really, for a GT350R? Which one is more or less? I thought that was only the case with 2015's vs. all the other years.

Me crazy, and I can't help myself
Was out at Blackwell Ford in Plymouth MI yesterday and they have a brand new 2017 Lightning Blue GT350, stripe delete, with electronics package sitting on the showroom floor. Since i am getting impatient waiting for my build i decided to go in and talk to them about it. They are asking for a 10K ADM, after a little general interest he said they would do $7500. Now i wasn't a serious buyer at all but i imagine if someone were interested you could at least get it down to $5k. He told me that other dealers were wanting to buy the car for 5K adm but i doubt this is true, maybe on a 2016 it was happening but i doubt anymore. That being said i don't think there is anyway they would go to the MSRP-2K threshold.

Hope this helps someone.

Obviously you have no idea about the market place as the 2016MY cars have all been ordered and delivered and cannot be changed versus the 2017MY cars which can be ordered at whatever options that you want plus the fact the we all know that the 2016MY R models had pretty much ~496 cars allocated for the 2016MY versus who knows what Ford will do for the 2017MY?

Unfortuntanely you and many others are late into the game but still have a chance at a decent deal on a 2017MY R model subject to who you talk to and how many R models will be allocated for the 2017MY.

The bottom line is there are still some decent deals on 2017 R models subject to you doing your due diligence.

You are correct, I would admit that I don't know the market well at all. Hence why I ask many questions. Just trying to learn. I hope that is not too much of an imposition.

If you don't mind, I still have the same question for you. Which model year do you feel would command a higher price? As you may have guessed I'm am in the market and am actively looking for a GT350R. To me, since nothing of much significance to me has changed between a 2016 and 2017 GT350R I'm willing to pay a similar price for either. Maybe slightly a little more for a 2016 that is in stock and ready to drive off the lot.

2015 MY will demand big premium in the future. 2016 and 2017 could be had for msrp or less in a year or so.

At this point it is still very hard to tell whether a 2016 R or 2017 R model will be worth more than the other or whether there could actually be no difference at all.

As you mentioned the cars are pretty much the same from a design and performance level but I am sure that you are aware there were some color changes from 2016 to 2017 so that may play into some peoples equation as far as a color for just one model year.

Typically production numbers have a great deal to do with setting values on limited production/high performance vehicles such as these so until it can be determined how many 2017 R models will be built it is very difficult to value one MY against the other.

If you can provide us with an idea of how much you are willing to spend on an R model and what your color preferences/options that you would like to see maybe one of us can help you going forward?

If you have not driven one of these R models already you are in for a very pleasant experience.

Good luck with your search for one of these outstanding vehicles!

We don't know with certainty if there will be a 2018 GT350/R yet, so that may potentially have some effect down the road.

Lots here like to "share" their opinion. It's a bummer about the ADM stuff. Hopefully when it's all done, we can stop arguing about ADMs and tech packs.

Thats forums, im fine with that. Ive never seen people argue of ADM, or hide issues with their cars very weird, either because they are worried about the car loosing value or some other reason that hasnt occured to me.

Can anyone recommend a dealer to get a GT350 at MSRP.
I emailed a bunch and the best price so far was $5k over!

Looking to order one in Lightning Blue.

Thanks, I'm still searching but honestly now not dying to get one as I once was a few months back. After 2 failed attempts (contracts in hand, cashiers checks issued, FedEx'd overnight, etc, etc...) and going through the process now 2 times at 2 different dealers, I'm a bit unimpressed with these Ford dealerships and the sales staff and just their integrity in general. To be honest if and/or when I do get this GT350R I'm not so excited to have to trust or deal with any of them for any warranty or service issues. Maybe I just haven't found a good dealership, I duno. But I've got a list of roughly 100 that I've at least called if not visited in person and none would I recommend to a friend.

Don't get me wrong. I'm still enamored with the car and I am still open to paying some ADM, roughly 10-15K, to get what I want. Looking for a GT350R White/Blue Stripe with electronics package. And I'm open to ordering.

Sorry for the rant.
