Out of interest - has there been a poll thread about ADMs? I did a quick search, but came up empty, and the big bad adm sticky thread isnt really a poll...

I know some people are willing to pay ADM's...but generally I dislike ADM dealers *severely*.

Like to the point where when I see ADM's...I want to hoof the GM and SM in the groin for that reason alone.

How much was your ADM?
Not too much that I couldn't afford it. Well worth it. It's just business guys. Supply and demand. I'm telling you, if you were the owner of that dealership you'd be charging ADM's also. Again it's just smart business.

Nope, I'd be more interested in creating a positive buzz and repeated customers.

Mostly because I'm not a greedy nitwit who thinks he deserves nearly $30,000 pure profit on a MUSTANG.

Got it, so no R then I take it.

You can sling insults all you want, not going to change the reality of the current market for the R. They are trading at 25k+ between dealers, no reason for most to sell at MSRP
And the reality is that every one of 'em are throwing cash down the toilet when they do it. The SE Mustang resale market does not support ADM on anything but a '15 time capsuled GT350R. There are guys out there who paid $10K over for a '13 GT500 that have been kicking themselves ever since they folded for such a deal. If you want to pay ADM, then make it worth the cost. Buy a new GT3 RS, not a Mustang...

Exactly, not proud of it are you? How much ADM did you pay? You know, since you think it's worth it. Why hold back if that's your true conviction...

I agree 100%, it's not always about $$.
I traded 2 cars for my GT350 and put $10K in my pocket. I think I got a great deal. If I were paying cash, I still would have paid what the dealer was asking without a 2nd thought. Owning and driving this car confirms that 200%.

Maybe me being a business owner understand the concept business aspect of the ADM fee. There is nothing in business guaranteed for tomorrow. Make money and as much as you can while it last. As far as loyal customers,,,,,,, no such thing! Compitition is to high especially in the car market. seems like buying a car becomes a man obligation to brag about how he was going to walk on a deal unless the GM gave him below invoice price.

I'm self employed as well. If I didn't extend loyalty and integrity to my clients, they'd go elsewhere. When someone extends the same, there's no other I'll deal with. Sounds like you and your dealer were made for each other lol. Again, how much did you pay over sticker? And how many of your friends would you admit to paying an ADM? I think we know the answer...

Blah blah blah, this line of reasoning is a broken record at this point. Not everyone buys cars for resale, some are buying to drive and enjoy. While you are happy with your GT350, others really want the R and finding one at MSRP is extremely unlikely, if not actually impossible

And buying 10k over for GT500 in which 5000 were made is nothing like an R at <500 made. Either way, im not sure why folks like yourself are so concerned with how others spend their money.

Admit what I paid,, not that important. What is important is that I could afford it, and I wanted the car. I truly believe it will be a collectors car. It's going to be nothing more than my 15 GT/PP , a weekend toy. How many people said I'm not paying ( estimated) $5k for that 67 gt500,,,,, what do they go for today $150k.

I will say it again, its funny how people worry so much about what others
do with their money LOL. I was fortunate and bought at MSRP.
to me in the normal car world, MSRP is to much. but knowing how the market
is for these cars, realize I was fortunate. I likely would not have paid an ADM.
For my own personally reasons.
But if you have the money, want the car, can live with the extra that is being charged,
knowing that most likely you will lose that money, then who cares?
Each to their own. When you think of it, its like that with most things in life.
I can afford a 600,000 house, but I won't buy one, I think its to much.
Next guy buys it and can't wait, its all relative.
Same as cloths, jewellery, phones, vacations etc.

You earn your money, spend it how you wish, everyone else can go pound sand :)
Just my 2 cents.

And as far as my dealer and I made for each other, he's saved me at least my ADM on warranty work that might have been say "questionable" . I like to mod my cars a bit.

If find it really telling when somebody defends ADM, then won't admit how much they paid.

I paid MSRP for my track pack. OTD was a little under $58K, cash. I have no problem admitting what I paid. That's my conviction, it's a sound one. That's why I don't have a problem revealing it.

I find it telling when someone insults and judges others for no real rhyme or reason, when how they choose to spend their money is none of one's business

And no one is "defending" ADM, others are simply realistic with what the actual market value of a very limited R is.
