Is there a thread that discuss how to buy out of state? Wouldn't I have to pay tax and retrofits for CA emission? I thought about that but just don't know how to go about. Thanks.

No retrofit needed, its already a 50-state car. Despite that fact, you still need to get the thing smogged :headbonk:

No, it's a fifty state car. Whom ever you buy it from should give you a temporary registration and yes you will have to pay the sales tax in CA. The AAA is a hell of a lot easier than the DMV....even if you don't belong, well worth the $100 bucks.

Good luck man, I am in the same boat. Search continues.... Bay area sucks for this reason. I cant think of another except for Prius drivers everywhere,

I woukd agree. I am in FL and there are some sitting on dealer floors. 10k ADM is cheapest i have seen around me.

Just an FYI for you guys that are planning to start calling around. There are approximately 250 (varies daily) GT350s out on cargurus.com right now. I'm sure most have ADM but at least you know where some are located.

A lot of those are presold customer cars. some dealers have cars automatically post to 3rd party sites when they are put into inventory

I contacted 3 of them yesterday just for fun (I already have mine ordered). All three I contacted had the cars and they were for sale. All 3 had ADMs but I didn't ask how much. I asked if they would sell at MSRP and they said no. At that point I said thanks for the info. and ended the call.

Full disclosure...it wasn't "just for fun". I have mine ordered at MSRP+$1000. I've already paid the $1000 as a non refundable deposit so when my car comes in I owe MSRP (plus tax, etc). So I've been waiting since September and still don't have a VIN. I figured if I could find one on the lot for MSRP, that I want, I wouldn't lose any $. I want a gray car so I contacted 3 dealers that had gray cars. No luck.

Citrus Ford in Ontario, CA had a Magnetic tech pack that they were asking 15k. I got the impression from speaking with the dealer it was negotiable and somewhere between 5-10k ADM. I'm guessing it sold, don't see it on their website anymore.

Im not too sure, but some go into inventory once they are invoiced by Ford, some cars dont actually show up for 1+ months after being invoiced (at least for the GT350s)
