No one likes paying ADM. If you really want the car now, you will pay some sort of ADM. Maybe a dealer with an allocation and if you have been a good customer you can get one cheaper. I walked into the showroom and as soon as I laid eyes on the car I knew I had to have it.

They would not come down on the ADM but they did give me 100% for my 2 month old GT Premium with 800 miles. I also got the extended warranty and wheel protection thrown in.

I'm not one who likes to wait for anything so ordering was out of the question for me. I saw what I wanted and it was my choice to pay the ADM or walk away. I chose the former. I fully understand the folks who refuse to pay it. In a year you may get them for MSRP or below but I didn't want to wait a year and this car was optioned exactly the way I would have ordered it.

To each his own.

I want to thank Cogswell Ford for a great buying experience and not charging me ADM on my GT350.

Just saw on Autotrader there are 643 Shelby GT350s...how on earth are there still ADMs. My local dealer has 5 of them and within 100 miles according to the actual Ford inventory there are 76 in stock or on order. I think ADMs are on their way out. I understand a lot of these are cars on order or maybe already sold...but still there is a lot of inventory out there.

So true, my local dealer is South Bay Ford. Its a higher end dealer as it deals with Southbay clients, Manhattan Beach, El Segundo, Redondo Beach etc. However, when you have 5 in stock and they have been there for months and you have now several 2017s in stock and coming in...WTF!! Let the people buy them at MSRP.

It's especially when they artificially pack the MSRP, then discount it (still above MSRP) to make you think you're getting a good deal. F THAT!

Just canceled my order at $3K over MSRP. I put 1000 bucks down like 2 months ago.....but now that I have been seeing more and more 17's coming available at MSRP I asked the owner of the dealership to renegotiate or cancel my order. Well.....they decided they'd rather cancel the order than see the writing on the wall about ADM ....and they're keeping my deposit. Does that seem right? I haven't been given any information about my car other than a verbal confirmation that the factory received the order. Is that enough justification to keep my deposit??

Its right if you agreed to a non-refundable deposit. Doesn't matter what part of the process is in, so long as you tendered deposit at agreed upon terms. If that isn't spelled out anywhere, I'd be raising holy hell.

They probably can't keep your deposit. I'm relatively certain it is illegal to in almost every state. Ask them nicely again to refund it or you'll take further action to get it back.

Did you sign anything?

Im about to cancel mine, I think ill just call them and see what they say. I feel bad cancelling but they refused to give me anything in writing with the final price so I feel like is fair. To be honest had they I would of taken it. I never signed anything though

I put $500 down and feel like I am in a similar state. I suspect they would want to keep my deposit as well. The sales person told me it was not refundable after they took the money.

A local dealer has said that over the next week or two they will be going to a 'wholesale' and will be told when they can put their order in for a 17. They are going to charge about 1K adm which is better than the 2.5K at the other dealer. If the local dealer decides that I am the customer they want to sell to, I will go with them. I doubt I am going to spend much more time hunting around.

I can't believe with the 17's hitting the lots why there are any 16 tech cars with ADM's.
