My understanding is that the pump for the Trans cooler is built in, so it is not readily added.

Only cars that come with coolers have the pump.

The problem with the tech pkg. You don't get the cool Reccaro seats, instead you get the Mustang GT seats.

The Recaro seats were the main decision point for me as well. If I'm being entirely honest with myself, this car will probably never see a track day but I'm a skinny guy and want a seat that fits me better and I like the look of the Recaro's over the leather seats. I'm also bummed you can't get the nice Sync 3 package and all that jazz as options but oh well.

Plain and simple:

If you view racing as that one day of the year, you get the Tech Pack. If you view racing as a "season"...you guessed it. Toyota Prius.

I plan to drive my GT350 on both the track and the street. Ideally I would have bought the R with the electronics package, but wasn't able to find one at a reasonable price and I wanted rear seats. I quickly gave up on the R and went with a Track Pack instead.

I really wanted the Recaros, the Magneride, and the cooling. I preferred the nicer head unit on the tech package, but didn't care much about the heated and cooled seats. I was annoyed that Ford didn't offer the nicer radio as a separate option, but in the end I'm fine with the track pack and will probably prefer having actual buttons.

I'm little on the heavy side at about 210lbs. If the Recaro seat doesn't fit, I can always go on ebay an get a couple of Mustang GT leather seats fairly cheap. I'll run those, until I get rid of a few pounds.lol

I am going Tech as I plan to use my car everyday and may never track my car, though the plan is to try it out. I suspect the performance of the track pack car will more than exceed my skill set and that I will enjoy it's, "luxury" daily. As an aside, nicely written original post!
