I'd suspect the scale is just a bit off, but who knows. Maybe they Forgot to put sound deadening in your car, lol.
Wasn't my car. It's another dudes factory fresh 2017 Mustang GT 300A.

What year ? A 1969 COPO was very nose heavy.

Maryland International is one of the quickest tracks in the country and has a lot of records. If you search for the Density Altitude when he ran on Friday night, it was somewhere around 800 ft (I don't know when he ran, but it was dark). Not too bad for early September. Not saying it won't get better, but the car is no quicker than an 18-23 S550.
Track prep. can make or break a hero run.

I’m not so sure it’s due to lack of competition. I think it has more to do with the EPA putting Ford’s nutz (and the other car manufacturers for that matter) in a vice.
Yup they have been paying millions in EPA fines, that is great if you can off set it with huge margins.
The move to all v8 cars and mostly trucks is making someone at the epa rich as GM , Dodge Ford paid out millions in fines every year.
It is also why the hemi plug got pulled.

That’s 911 GT3/GT3RS weight territory. The price tag reflects that accordingly unfortunately. Unless Ford is going to shrink down the size of the car, which I doubt, these cars are just going to keep being hippos. But they’re still loads of fun 😁
A Mazda mx5 sized rwd car with the 2.3 turbo would be one hella fun ride.
