Finally got to truly appreciate collision mitigation systems, lane keep anssist and auto start stop technology. It does have a place after all. In my recent trip to Yellowstone National Forest, I used the collision sensor to max sensitivity (to avoid animals, tourists, and other cars as my eyes were all over the place). Start stop saved me some gas from the local park traffic. Glad it was in my rental. I don’t know why it always reminds me to check the rear passenger everytime though. Annoying after the first day. I was surprised the car told me to ‘keep my eyes on the road’ On star was a welcome tech in this instance in case I found myself stranded. (24 GMC Terrain).

Which was error #1. Watch the gd road! If you wanna look, pull the frack over. It's not like you can't. I went thru there last year. If I wanted to look, I stopped.

I really hate stop/start. It's hard on equipment. Let's build a junk engine that will be trash in 100K miles, but it will save a few gallons of gas in the meantime. So wasteful.
