My 2020 GT has a B&O 12 speaker system. I disconnected the sub connections (2 each l&r), the OEM amplifier is now powering an aftermarket sub loaded in a ported enclosure. It works fine but like the OEM sub is on the weak (for my ears) side.
I want to take the wires originally connected to the B&O sub and putting them through a LOC. Then connecting the line out from the LOC to a 2 channel sub amp.
This sub amp has a bass control knob. It will be run up to the center console to use whenever I wish to lower or increase the sub output.
Question: Will the use of the output control knob/subwoofer amp have any negaive impact on the OEM amplifier, which, in effect, is still being connected? I am thinking is the output from the B&O sub amp increased when sound volume is turned up doesn't this increase the line out voltage? Would that have negative consequences? I certainly don't want to overload anything.
As you can tell, I am not an electrical engineer.

Your new sub amp’s bass control knob will not affect the OEM audio system.

Thanks. Do you see any complications with this configuration?
If the B&O system‘s sub has bass roll-off (the sub volume hits a maximum at some point but doesn’t appear to increase as the volume knob is turned up further), then I’d suggest an AudioControl LC2i as your LOC. That AudioControl LOC has the Accubass feature that will correct that problem.

I would just fetch the signal right behind the ACM, because unlike with the F-150 the Mustangs B&O system doesn't have the A2B bus as far as i know. So basically all you need is a T-harness to get a low-level signal just like with the Shaker system.

Can I power up my sub amp to a terminal that adjacent to the battery? There are 2 large terminals (see photo) adjacent to the battery OR do I connect to the positive side of the battery itself?

You want to use a thick gauge wire (no less than 4 gauge usually), so I just run from battery terminal and add a fuse very near. I try to make sure that fuse is within 6 inches of the terminal when possible. I do believe it is also fine to run from that positive terminal in your pic.
