My 2020 GT has a B&O 12 speaker system. I disconnected the sub connections (2 each l&r), the OEM amplifier is now powering an aftermarket sub loaded in a ported enclosure. It works fine but like the OEM sub is on the weak (for my ears) side.
I want to take the wires originally connected to the B&O sub and putting them through a LOC. Then connecting the line out from the LOC to a 2 channel sub amp.
This sub amp has a bass control knob. It will be run up to the center console to use whenever I wish to lower or increase the sub output.
Question: Will the use of the output control knob/subwoofer amp have any negaive impact on the OEM amplifier, which, in effect, is still being connected? I am thinking is the output from the B&O sub amp increased when sound volume is turned up doesn't this increase the line out voltage? Would that have negative consequences? I certainly don't want to overload anything.
