I am looking into this too. Before you install them can you hold one still and actuate it from the very tip of the lever? If it doesn't hang up like the OEM then they will be my solution.
Have a link to what you ordered?
I bought TDD branded magnetic paddle shifters off Aliexpress. Strangely enough, they are no longer listed in my account or orders page.

Here is a video of the paddles I took for you:

I'm unsure how a longer paddle will function in terms of rigidity or binding on itself when clicked on the longer end of the paddle attachment. I did plan on purchasing longer metal paddle attachement to replace the carbon fiber ones.

Looking through my email, I ordered this in April 2025, and I paid $80. This was pre-tariff pricing so please keep that in mind.

The pin can be re-used, as you basically wedge the drill bit up into it, it spins and then pulls out, at which point the paddle shifter can be removed, and swapped out with the pin pushed up to hold it in.
3/32 - 6 inch long drill bit. Use at slow speed to push inside and grip, then pull down and out.
I am shocked and angry.

3/32, drill, and pull. The bit was out in a matter of SECONDs.

I spent hours trying to get it out without remove the pin....

Thank you so much Jsolman
