Hi all, Oz based here.
Long winded but really need some help.
I bought the wife a 2017 Coyote 6r80 about 18 months ago, it has around 40k miles on it, service history is solid.
The car has been running great up until the last few months, it recently (maybe 2 months ago) it started shifting up or down a little harder sometimes, a bit of s hard bump maybe.
I thought I'd get the auto serviced with Penrite Mercon LV and filter.
It settled down for a little but started acting up again, the wife drives it so I'm not 100% certain what's going on, but she must have done around 100 miles and it ran fine, after a while when in town she said it started to slip a little but would collect the gear again and be ok, she then pulled up on a hill (up hill) and it kind of stopped moving while in gear, she put it in neutral, reverse and drive but it wouldn't move.
She stopped the motor, restarted it, put it in drive and reverse but still wouldn't move, put it into neutral and managed to roll backwards off the side of the road.
Called a tow truck, waited an hour or 2, he started car and all was back to normal, put it on the truck and bought it home (as she was around 50 mile from home), towie drove it off the truck and parked it.
A day later I drove it and it seemed ok, after being serviced (prior) I thought maybe the oil was a bit low so had the shop check it and put another quart in, I thought the oil maybe a bit low on th pick up, (in saying this it was only bumping up and down gears a little hard before the service, not slipping until after service or stalling).
Drove ok for a bit, then she left home the other day and it stalled in the drive way, I jumped in, put it in drive, it felt like it was in 4th or 5th, like it wanted to move but I was worried I'd damage the box, I flicked off traction control and it took off normal, it's been better since but she said it is still a bit odd shifting, if slowing down then accelerating again it will sometimes over-rev/slip a bit.
I'm going to get the mechanic to put a code reader on it next week (he's on holidays) to see if it's thrown any codes.
I was hoping someone on here may have had something similar or any idea what the problem might be?
Seems it might be computer/electrical but I'm not sure, maybe an ABS sensor, crook computer, wiring issue.
Any help or advice much appreciated, don't really wanna pull the box unnecessarily, not a lot of 6r80 specialists over here.
Thanks in advance, Wayne.

Um, speaking of Oz, you wouldn’t happen to be the wizard, would you?

Me too!! Well, if you happen to run into them, please tell them I’d like a blue 2021 GT500. After you, of course…Thanks! BTW- Definitely check the battery. They can 100% make these cars do weird stuff when the go bad.

😂😂
Definitely gunna pull the battery terminals, maybe new battery although I think we replaced it not long back, looks brand new, she said today drove great all day, parked up shopping for an hour or so then it started doing it's silly shifting etc again, hoping to get a code reader on it tomorrow.
Thanks.
