Synch 3 just stops working?

I'm driving along in my new-to-me 2020 GT playing tunes and suddenly Synch 3 screen goes black, nothing going. I tried stopping and turning off and on, no go. Finally looked up possible resets and turning car off, stepping out locking car and waiting for a bit worked. Seemed like it crashed like car BSOD. Any others experience this weird deal?

Yup, this has happened to a number of members over the years Sync 3 has been out. Just Google “ford mustang sync 3 screen goes blank”.

Well for me it's welcome to the Ford family! While I've driven many many S197 rentals and some S500 rentals plus a friend or two's Mustang the last Ford I owned was a '74 Capri V6. That was a fairly simple car to maintain, tho the stick once broke off in my hand as I pulled in to park.

Wonder is Microsoft had anything to do with Synch...?? LOL

Sync 2 (My Ford Touch) was Microsoft. Sync 3 is Blackberry QNX.
Your system is likely trying to update itself. It should return to normal after a restart.

My APIM was replaced last year due to that happening and its been okay ever since it was changed.
