Safe to reload Synch update or...?

A month ago, I downloaded a Synch update (version 3.4.23188) on to a memory stick and installed it in my 19 EB. It seemed to go as expected. I put it into the USB, the screen blanked except for the message. I went for a drive, and in about twenty minutes, a message said, "update complete" and "You may remove" etc. I removed, restarted car later as instructed, everything seems to be working fine. When it came to plugging the stick back in my PC to send Ford the message, it didn't. Plugged in, the stick was recognized, but no email. My Ford dashboard still says I have that same update waiting.
Should I try to re-install the update? Will it mess things up? Other options? Has anyone else run into this?

Did you verify on your radio that the sync version is the new one?
I had a similar experience once like that. Even though it said the update was complete, and to remove, it really wasn't complete. I retried the update again, and at the first instance of it saying update complete, remove, I left it in and it continued to update some more. It was after the radio rebooted, and the message came on again, did I remove the USB, and everything was alright.
Just make sure to leave the USB drive in long enough to fully complete the update.

Thanks! I hoped it wouldn't screw it up by retrying the same update but wasn't sure. I'll try re-doing it sometime soon.
