I had this same problem. You just need to connect to a wifi one time and do the "check for update." I did this real quick on my way home on a wifi hotspot I made from my cell phone. It didn't even have to finish the search, you just have to start it.Every time I start my car, a message pops up that says "sync can automatically update by connecting to local wifi networks" or something like that. I have wifi and automatic updates disabled. How can I stop these nagging messages?
The 2015 models have MyFordTouch. You can swap it out to get Sync 3. You will find a thread on how to do it on the cheap or you can go to 4dtech.com (like I did) to purchase new parts with it all ready for installation. It costs more but it easy as it took about an hour to do using their video showing how to do it.Does the 2015 EB have Sync 3? I just picked up the car and am not sure what version it has.
Do you remember what parts you bought? I see a rear camera programmer. Is that what I would need? The 2015 models have MyFordTouch. You can swap it out to get Sync 3. I bought the 2015 Ford Mustang Sync 3 Upgrade for MyFordTouch along with the tools to help pull the trim pieces off without breaking them. I already had the rear camera, so no need for the rear camera programmer.Do you remember what parts you bought? I see a rear camera programmer. Is that what I would need?
