How will you connect the Kicker into the system? Sorry, I'm not super knowledgeable.
Which JBL speakers did you install? Did they fit pretty well or was it significant work?
I experienced it at the dealer I went to here in Austin. I told him my issues and he said the only fix would be to get a new APIM. That is when I really started researching and luckily found this site :-)
I had this same problem. You just need to connect to a wifi one time and do the "check for update." I did this real quick on my way home on a wifi hotspot I made from my cell phone. It didn't even have to finish the search, you just have to start it.
The big thing I got from the update is I can now run Waze on my sync. It is really nice. If you want to give it another try, I am happy to try to help you.
It's pretty amazing.
The worst part is they are definitely convincing some people to get new APIM which cost $700+ to "fix" a simple software issues. That's the part that upsets me.
Hey all. My Sync 3 had not been working at all and even the new update would not install. Go to this thread and start following the instructions around post #200 to #300 from a guy named aCool. His items worked for me...
I'm having EXACT same issue with my 2016 non-nav. It sounds like the problem is our non-nav units don't have enough RAM space with all the different version of voice recognition. I'm just going to try to stay a little patient and see what solution the tech guys come up with. Ugh.
Were you happy with the results? I was at Best Buy and the installer guy said I would be wasting my money if all I did was swap out the 3 3.5s on my 2016. I didn't quite understand why he said that but he was very persistent about it.
I am hoping you might be able to help me. I've searched all the pages and pages of threads but can't seem to locate how to solve this problem. I just bought a 2016 Mustang that had Sync 3 but version 1. I went to ford site and downloaded v2.3. Everything installed, but now my voice activation...
