So my battery died 2 days ago. After getting the car started, the sync 3 screen isn't responding to touch. Still plays music and android auto pulls up when phone is connected. Can control it with the steering wheel but it's the touch portion that doesn't work.

can you pull the fuse for the radio and let it do a hard reboot?

Op - try the following. This is a soft reset for the Sync3 systems in most Fords, including Mustangs. I did it once, and it worked for me, under similar circumstances:

1. Simultaneously (at the same time) press Forward button (>>) and Center power button (audio system power)
2. Continue to HOLD for ~10 seconds. The screen will go black.
3. Release buttons at black screen. System reboots.

That's really weird. Did you use FORScan after that, or some other possible cause?

Any luck fixing this problem? I’m having the same problem after getting a new battery.

Updating this thread. I went on ebay, bought a new touch screen for 80 bucks and in less than an hour had a working screen again. No issues since june.
