Have a 2016 GT Premium and today my screen went grey but still had connecting for Bluetooth written in top right corner. It wouldn't do anything turned power off shut off engine and locked doors the screen would never go away just stayed grey. So after about a hour or so I decided to take to dealership and while I was getting gas it started working again.

Anybody else have this problem?

I do have Nav also if this helps but nothing would work.

Haven't had that happen, but a few times it has taken a lot longer to turn on than usual.

Hi Spectech,

This should not happen often. If it does occur again, I recommend performing a key cycle:

1. Turn off the ignition.
2. Open the driver’s side door.
3. Wait for the instrument cluster to turn off.
4. Close the driver’s side door.
5. Start your vehicle again.

Mine freezes up quite often, but only on long road trips (after a couple of hours). Either it just becomes unresponsive or the whole screen will shut off (only the volume knob will work). It will come back on though after I turn the car off for a minute or two.

Yea!!! looks as though these things have Bugs in system. Hopefully a feature update will correct these issues. Not good owning a car for 2 weeks and display, Radio, and Nav. go out for periods of time.

Sounds like when MFT came out. Man that was a trying time. It would reboot a lot.

Hi Spectech,

This should not happen often.

Shaay

Why would this happen at all?.....Wasnt the whole purpose of switching to a different platform to get system reliability ?

This is not a good start.....If this is a common occurrence, Im going to rethink my upcoming purchase.

Mine freezes every time I run Pandora and try to skip songs. Locks up the whole HU. 16 Prem w/ Nav. I've just gone back to iPod until I see an update.

Hey Everyone,

Don't forget you can keep SYNC 3 running smoothly with a system reboot. Press the POWER button and the RIGHT SEEK arrow simultaneously until the screen goes dark.

Here you can find additional troubleshooting tips starting on page 90: http://www.fordservicecontent.com/F...-Supplement-version-1_sycsy_EN-US_05_2015.pdf

I hope this helps.

Hey kws6000,

Absolutely! This shouldn't be a consistent issue; however, as awesome as technology is sometimes it needs a little reboot. :)
