Sync 3 issues

I have a 2018 mustang that was originally a base model with the 4” screen. The previous owner upgraded to the 8” sync 3 set up. I have hardly any volume. Turned all the way up you can barely hear the radio/calls at highway speed. It’s almost like the volume is nerfed. I’ve seen some people say that settings need to be changed around using forscan, however I’m not really sure what to change. Has anyone else had this issue?

Ok, get ForScan and check the ACM for the following code line:

Address: 727-01-01 xx*x-xxxx-xxxx

If the * reads anything other than 0 you have to change it to "0" to get the internal amp running your speakers correctly.
This assumes that there is no external amplifier anywhere in your system!
If there is, leave it alone and see an installer of your choice.

awesome I’ll try that this evening. I did figure out that he put a sync 3 system from a 2016 car in it. Not sure if that makes a difference but I’ll change the code like you said.
