Sync 2 blank

Driving home last night and the radio just went blank for maybe 2 seconds then came back on. Music never stopped playing. Anyone heard of this before?

Oh yeah, the black screen of death. It may last a while still but it's destined to die completely. The only fix is to replace the APIM, the module bolted to the back of the screen. A Sync 2 APIM will run you between $300 and $600 depending on where you can find one and if it has Navigation or not.
Are you sure you have Sync 2? The home screen is setup in quadrants. Sync 3 the screen is blue and setup in 3 sections.
I know this because I just replaced the APIM in my '12 Edge.
If/when it dies I can let you know the place I found my replacement.

Pretty sure it's a sync2. No Nav. Please do tell me where to obtain this part as I dont want to be without the tunes

It would be best to go into the settings and look at the Sync version to be sure.
