I bought a 19 Bullitt used that has a FP short throw linkage. Absolutely love the car, but not the FP short throw linkage. I have the stock one that was removed. I drove a stock Bullitt and found the shifter, albeit longer, much smoother and not as notchy as the FP short throw. Are all FP short throws tight and notchy, and lacking in smoothness? Car has 200 miles on it.

I would give the FP shifter some time to loosen up. Have you even filled up the tank yet? 200 miles, jeez.

Yeah, after I wrote that I thought I should give it more time. Both the car and I need to break in.
