For anyone interested, an extremely reputable porsche racing shop has started developing suspension tuning products for other manufacturers. They've contacted me and are interested in doing some testing on the gt350/gt350r with the magneride. From what I gather they are close to releasing the product(s) and it looks like I'll be doing some testing with them over the next few weeks and during an hpde I'm attending on 7/30-31. I'm going to meet with them this week to discuss details and I should have some more info then. Im Just looking to gage interest so if anyone wants to know more I'll keep you posted!

Legit

They are ligit (if it's the folks I'm thinking of). Katech Engineering (supplied the engines for Pratt and Miller's LeMans winning Corvettes) rolled this out for C7Z's. Got rave reviews. Tuneable.

No not katech...like I said it's a reputable Shop that tunes porsche pretty much exclusively, they run cars in IMSA GT3 Series. Now they've been doing suspension tuning for other manufacturers so I'm pretty excited to see what they have planned for the gt350. I'll update asap.

My fault for not being clearer. Katech is a third-party vendor for the controller and various damper / coil-over parts for the C7Z. The controller is by DSC Sport. The various posts in the Corvetteforum thread on the subject, and the DSC Sport website, made me think some Porschefiles were at the bottom of it. Here's the Corvetteforum thread:

Here's the DSC Sport website:

It could be that the folks developing the controller system you're referring to aren't affiliated with DSC Sport - I was just surmising that they could be the same, given your allusion to a reputable Porsche racing shop. Either way, it's a cool development for the GT350 community.

Yea it's dsc sport/tpc racing (same company).they are local to me so it works out great for me as I'll get to do some testing/tuning and hopefully learn a few things about suspension tuning in the process. According to Randy Pobst, they fixed the understeer on the cayman gt4, and seeing as the gt350 is so good off the showroom floor, I'm excited to see if it can be improved.

Maybe it's just a pipe dream, but to my uneducated mind, the coolest thing about this technology is Cadillac-like ride from a GT3RS / GT350R / C7Z-Z07 for daily driving, and on-rails performance on demand - all from the same hardware.

DSC currently builds piggy back type suspension modules, if they offered a spring package+retuned magneride settings it will be very interesting to say the least

Yea I'm hoping that's the case as well. The magneride is great and Idk how much you can improve on it, but I'm willing to find out. What I'm hoping is they offer a spring package which allows the car to be lowered, lowering the center of gravity, that still has the same benefits of the existing setup (smooth when needed, and stiff enough for the track) or improves upon it. We shall see.

Matt Farah @ The Smoking Tire's latest One Take video is a DSC tuned C7 Z06 lol, literally just released this morning. This is the first time I had learned of aftermarket tuning on OE magnetic dampers.
