Back in March I shopped around with different dealers and ordered a Mach 1. I ordered one from the dealer who gave me the best price. Well it's been almost a month and my salesman and dealer keep me in the dark on the status. I asked why have I not been receiving any emails from Ford, they said they don't know. They say my orders in but nothing else. So been looking for Mach 1's already built with no luck in the whole US with what I want. I even called dealers to see if they have any coming in. Then one of the dealers I had talked with initially texted me and said they have good news. The manager went ahead and ordered the car I was pricing anyway after I told them I had found a better deal. The car came in today and would I be interested? Heck yes!!!! After being in the dark on my current order and the plant shutdowns? I couldn't believe it! They are selling it at MSRP, no additional dealer profits. They're going to prep it tomorrow so Wednesday if the test drive is good my dream has come true!

There's no such thing as a test drive for this car. Once you're in the seat, you can't imagine not having it! It is just plain stuck to the road. Be sure to bed the brakes properly (need some open space to do that well) and follow the break-in process.

Congratulations. I hope it works out for you. My story is almost the opposite. I shopped three dealers. One placed my order and I had my order sheet the first day. The other two made lots of promises but no action or order. So about a week ago I got a text from one of the others telling me he had good news about a Mach 1. I just replied with a picture of mine in my driveway. :)

I think many dealers were hoping they could tack on a big markup on them.

As mentioned, be sure to read the supplemental Mach 1 specific manual in the manual pack. I has all kinds of info, like track alignment settings. Also coupons for adult diapers. You will need them ........... After you spin out on wet road.

Can you go into detail on the bedding process for the brakes or have a link or reference to where I can learn what I need to do for that?

What they said. Even the Mach 1 supplemental manual mentions bedding as prep for track use!
