so I am looking at the ProCharger Stage 2 kit and wonder. At the 10 LB of boost it makes ballpark 600 RWHP with a stock rev limiter setup are the OPG and CG that needed?

How well are the stock motors holding up around 650whp? I see pretty much everyone thats FI is making at minimum 600, however everyone seems to be under 20k miles lol. Is there anyone at a higher mileage that can comment? I've owned 4 evos and 2 of them were at 500whp with over 100k miles. I know coyotes can make the power but can they hold up?

650 pretty good on the 15s, we have a ridiculous amount of cars out there like that

anything under 700whp id feel safe with.. over 700 id start to guess you might need to start saving.. but people are still pushing them still too soon to say 100%

My only regret with my procharger is that I didn't get an F1A from the start.

when you can get 600whp with a 5 year factory warranty i think 650 is safe

My last car had 756 rwhp (manual) so I will see just over 700 on this auto car. There is no reason my car will not live a long and prosperous life. My car runs and drives like stock under normal conditions and has every single safety measure still in the Whipple tune like it comes from Ford. So as long as your not constantly at redline your not putting all that power to the wheels anyway. Just because it makes over 700 rwhp at 6500 rpm does not mean life expectancy is going to dramatically fall off. It has everything to do with how one drives their car. If your irresponsible and mash the go pedal 2 seconds after the car starts cold and constantly beat the shit out of it then yes, it will have issues earlier than a motor with much less power but if that's the case your destined to destroy any motor you have. Having fun often with my Whipple SC and not being a complete idiot will provide me with a long lasting motor. I can tell you this, if longevity is your concern Whipple's tune is the only tune you should use, it's hands down the best tune made by a Ford engineer with Whipple to be the safest, most powerful tune on the market and nobody else can give you that. Ken B and Lund make good tunes but they will never be as safe.

And what basis do you have to say they will never be as safe? is there a number of cars blowing up do to their unsafe tune?

Well said Jmeo but we need to take into account that the stock engine was not purposely engineered to accept that kind of stress.

Now did Ford engineer some overhead into it? I'm sure. How much though is the question?

If the stock engine was tested for hours and hours on end at WOT (as it was) and it's engineered to accept that abuse then doing the same with the added stress of FI will no doubt blow the engine IMO.

However, the occasional romp on a warm engine will take years to equate to the same time abuse the stock engine took in testing, so yes I agree with you on being smart ... I'm just not sure we know where those 2 "stress" lines meet (maybe 2 hours of FI stress? maybe less? maybe more?).

And the FI stress line will be affected by the power level to further complicate any non-scientific attempt at an answer of Coyote FI limits.

coyote has been out since 2011 so they have been beat on for awhile both boosted and non and the s550 coyote is even better. FI has not and will not be the death of your engine unless you push the envelope.. there have been very few failures end even those are inconclusive to cause as even NA engines had similar failures.

I think Whipple with Whipple tune is the most power you can get with a CARB EO #

Are you guys running any kind of boost gauge? Too bad the stock PP vacuum gauge doesn't go past zero into the positives.
