I think it's strange that there are active discussions on here where guys are having problems with their Whipple and ProCharger kits and none of them have enough regrets to post in this thread about it. Kind of like they can't admit they spent that much money on a product that doesn't work correctly. Heck in the super long thread about the Whipple belt chirp there have been a few failed promised fixes and some of the guys are even saying they don't like driving their cars anymore, yet they don't regret their purchase? Just odd, kind of like there is some sort of brand loyalty that supersedes personal opinion.

For sure brand loyalty runs deep in all of us her, and yes some may find every way to justify there purchase and brand. However it's a bit naive to expect to bolt on 250-300 hp and not expect to have some challenges. All the SC kits out there are very well done and maybe there is some better than other to a point, however with all of them there are always a percentage of issues that arise whether it be installer error or design flaw or tolerance difference from one car to the next.

I course I'm now putting on my Whipple hat and speaking with that brand loyalty in mind;) To me the issues Whipple has had are limited to a smaller percentage of there customers if you look at the overall number of systems they have out there. The thing that matters a lot to me is yes does the product work as advertised, and if not is the company responsive to the needs of the customer. I can tell you that Whipple exceeds in everyway my expectations and I think many of the Whi8pple customers feel the same. This is why you may not see them throwing in the towel on the system because of some hiccups. Yes some have said they didn't want to drive there cars, but that a select few.

When I had my issues I was really regretting my purchase... but Roush fixed my issues and gave me a once in a lifetime experience. Not many people can say they got to tour the Roush and Ford SVT facilities with Jack Roush Jr. as the tour guide.

Although a select few but I just don't want to be in that receiving end of these issues after having spent 10K plus. I have noticed the extent that whipple tries to make things right when an issue arise. One can't expect anymore that that from any company.

True!! and I didn't want to be one of the only guys on here that lost his motor to a broken OPG in the first 6 months of supercharging but it happened. Let's be honest here there are no guarantees when modding your motor, heck even stock motors and parts fail.

We've fixed all issues that people have had, we continue to develop new parts and enhance the system that has led the way and haven't had to have a gun to our head when there have been issues.

Apples to oranges comparison....but if you spent $10K on a 70" LED TV to watch the Super Bowl and it made noises, I'm sure most of us would be profoundly disappointed. Down right pissed. Sure, when a company backs it's product and makes it right, that's wonderful. However, you would expect there to be no issues with a TV that expensive in the first place. Can stuff happen? Of course. But one would expect them not to. Would you have regrets? Maybe, maybe not. Depends on the person and end result. However, when others take the plunge and you hear the horror stories, makes you a little reluctant to spend that kinda coin because no one wants to be broke and disappointed. Just my opinion.

Well a squeak does not stop operation so I don't think 1 event such as the super bowl and a tv not being able to work is even close to realistic. Seriously... wow

Roush had and still has customer going into reduced power mode when you get aggressive with the vehicle, others have idle issues, surging, poor tunes, etc. nobody is perfect, but to regret means you wish you didn't do it and that's simply not realistic.

Regrets - Well ongoing issues with my roush Stage one and a known limp mode error with automatics. HAs it been resolved by Roush as yet - No. ..

Working on a custom tune but now suffering from a form of surging so worrying about ongoing damage (Daily driver that Im not currently driving)

So yes issues that are yet to have resolved but seeing I pulled the trigger early in Australia - Im really not surprised Im one of the Guinea pigs as our installers get to grips with it (And to be honest not happy with Roush's lack of urgency)

Would I do it again ---- Yes . The car needed the boost and I knew that it would be a slippery slope once you start modifying a car no matter how much you spend (16K Investment including labor with the USD to AUD exchange)

Lol! Sorry man. Best I could come up with at the moment. Probably not the best choice for comparison, but I've made worse mistakes in my life. Bottom line is...Whipple's selling points are quality, reliability, tuneability, customer service and so on. If I'm spending $10K on a supercharger, I'm gonna expect exactly those things. This is my daily driver. I can't afford it not to be reliable. Nor should I be expected to accept that flipping belts around on my off days is OK because "stuff" happens. I'm taking the plunge with Whipple, but I'm paying a dealer to install it to help eliminate all the deviations I can. That way, if the "stuff" ain't right, I can take it back to them. However, if my car blows a belt and leaves me stranded on the highway at 4AM or starts chirping like a canary, you can bet I'm gonna be disappointed and extremely pissed. After all, it's only taken me a year and lots of time away from my family to save up for it. Wish me luck.
