Ok, finally completed the upgrade to my upgrade.
I already have the Rockford Subwoofer in the stock enclosure and was fairly happy running off the stock amp. But, I can't leave well enough alone.
Keeping the sub and stock enclosure, I added an amp.
Here is what I needed:

Total cost was $300 all from Crutchfield.
High level RCA posi-tapped into the rear speakers

Ran a cable from the battery, remote level adjuster, and remote turn on up the passenger side. Then wired it all up.

The sound is fantastic, especially since I can crank up the bass on siriusxm.
Downside is now I have to chase some new rattles from th increased bass.

And for anyone trying this, the turn on lead for the factory amp will not work, it is a 6 volt turn on signal and will not work on a new amp.
Hey I gotta question, I know this is an old thread but I'm basically copying what you did, got the rockford punch p3sd2-8 installed it in factory shaker box it was cake. But not enough for me. I talked to Crutchfield to see if my ol amp I had laying around would push it and he said yea. So I ordered loc and wiring kit, I guess the 2 positives on loc go to the vt/gn and the 2 negatives go to the l.gn/white on the sub harness before amp. My question is when I run my speaker wires from amp to speaker am I splicing into each wire individually after amp/before box (red - and +) (blue - and +) individually so I'd have 4 wires going to the amp or do I connect the positives together from the speaker and same with negative and run it to where there's only 2 wires going to the amp? Thanks
