Taking this advice I just accidentally spilled a quart of resin onto the trunk area last night tried cleaning it out of the carpet with windex but wasn't working so I left it for morning, what do you think a little simple green with a heat gun, that ought to clean it up? Just kidding, sounds like a walk in the park.
Hence why you must cover all areas with sheet plastic where you are not working. There is no room for error with fiberglass resin...

I built one for my s197 and it's quite involving. You mask the area your going to work on and then some. I then laid foil paper over the masking tape and masked t again. I did that twice to ensure the resin wouldn't seep thru. Once you lay down a few layers of mat and resin you can use wooden dowels, a glue gun and of course the ring size of your choice.
Use the dowels to hold the ring in place with some glue and let it dry. Then use an old shirt and staple and glue it over the ring and over the resin part you made. Start laying mat and resin until you feel it's good enough. Sand it in the rough spots, touch up the subwoofer hole and lay some carpet over it. Takes a while because the resin takes time to dry.

I use resin that was originally for boats and surf boards that hardens in the sun. Fast.

I ordered a Zen Enclosure last night, plan on putting a 10" Kicker sub and powering it with a 400w/rms Kicker amp, installed my OEMRadio harness yesterday and ran the rca cable

This thing works great, I just put one in, while they don't have the holes pre drilled you can easily add them (I did) has held up just fine to .7G turns.

Did you do anything to mount it better in the car? Mine plops over during spirited driving.
