It's a long held dream of mine to build an 80% scale replica spitfire. Not likely to ever have the cash for the kit though.
I used to work at a flying live museum in the UK got to watch spits, mustangs etc almost everyday in flying season. It was magic.

From the outset I wanted the 50th anniversary grill

Something about just finished the car for me . I actually bought one and had it shipped from the USA for $500 (Aud shipped ) before they were an option here

As my car is a GT I needed to get a complete grill as the surrounds don't ft the stAndard grill

One advantage to the faux gas cap is you have a nice spot to grab to close the trunk that is fingerprint 'resistant' :D

I also got the 50th grille as I would have got a 50th app package if Ford offered... Suits my magnetic with silver wheels very well and it all ties off in the rear clear lights...

The Outlaw Kit consists of front chin spoiler, side rocker set, rear spoiler and roof mount spoiler along with Matt Black stripes. I was told verbally that the cost would be about $3,500 plus labour fitting and painting costs

Is this Outlaw kit the very rounded looking one?
I think i saw a pic of a red mustang with a kit on it. This was around the time when the first batch of cars arrived in Melb. I don't know if this was the outlaw kit or not.

Kindof ruins the look of the sharper modern lines on the 2015 Mustang I reckon. Would be good to see some pics of the outlaw kit.

Think it looks a bit like the photo below. My dealer/Ford sent me a small brochure, no pricing. The picture in that didn't have the triangle things in the grille because it had the 50th anniversary grille. To my eyes, it makes the car look 1990s-ish. Like something for a Supra.

Pic for Comparison.

Yeah I dunno, im sure some will like it, but for me it kindof ruins the look of the front of the new Mustang.

I have seen that style on the Falcon/Commodore.... it works on those but this is a different car. Time to let go of the past. Dont like that decal stripe either.
Not sure if the grille and those triangles are part of it, but im not a fan of that or the RTR triangles in the grille. You lose the stock Fangs in the grille which I really like.

Just my opinion obviously. I wont be paying to have that front end.

The Side rockers arent so bad, they might pair up nicely with another front lip/chin spoiler.

But again the stock side rockers are nice, looks slimmer in the mid section of the car, which I think makes the rear 'Haunches' appear to stick out more, its a great look to start with!

oh well that's just a CDC spoiler. I was like wtf on the first page when I recognized that spoiler since I just purchased one and it's sitting in my office in a box.

True!

I think the way to go if looking for a larger chin, is to leave the painted section as is and do something with the black lower section like the Cervini.

Again its all personal preference but I just cant deal with the outlaw one being so round!

Even the Cervini kit respects the styling of the side rockers a little more.

And obviously the Bonnet/hood and rear spoiler will clearly cause clashes of opinions, but the lower body pieces that are comparable to the outlaw kit I think are more tastefully done.

Having said that.... stock looks pretty nice too!
Its really just a fatter version of stock...its not really a fat car, its lean and mean!

Hi guys interested to know if anyone decided to go with the styling kit option in the picture below. Its a 50th anniversary grill but they are offering the tri-bar pony badge on the rear filler panel.

I ended up adding it to the car and will be fitted by my dealer before delivery. At 1400 odd dollars its not cheap but I loved the old school touch and after weeks of thinking it through couldn't resist and gave the go ahead.
Yep Sprtan, I really like the nod to the retro 65, and have ordered the styling kit for mine too.
