hey folks. i recently did exhaust work on my 2018 gt premium pp1 6spd. i finished the job, backed out of garage and parked it(everything seemed normal) the next day i get in, push s/s button(green light lit) and no dash lights/guages or nav/radio, no usual sounds and no crank. interior/ext lights work. battery showed 12.5v and all fuses hood and passenger side looked good. the only thing out of the ordinary was the steering wheel was in the upside down position when i turned car off the night before. any thoughts ? thanks

12.5V with the car running is very low. Running it should be in the low 14V range. Mine's rock solid at 14.2.
If that's a voltage with the car off it indicates a 90% charge, which should be fine.

Doesn't sound like the car was running and as such, 12.5v with the vehicle off/parked is just fine.

OP, what all was done to the car?

You need to elaborate on exhaust work.

If the steering wheel is "locked" because it was turned when shut off, you may need to "unlock" it by unloading it (i.e. turning it the same direction a little more) then press the start/stop button. I seem to remember something weird like that happening to me once.

that made sense , like on a keyed ignition, so we put car in nuetral and pushed it far enough to turn the wheel ,but still no gauges , dash activity or crank

It might not be recognizing the key fob. Does it lock/unlock the doors? Pull up the rubber mat in the bottom of the cupholder, the rear one has a slot to put the key in if the remote battery is dead. Try the other key fob if you have it.

The dash turns on with or without a keyfob when the button is pressed. The dash says no key detected when a keyfob is not in the car.

So just to be clear, you aren't able to even get accessory mode to work? meaning press the start button without pushing in the clutch pedal - or- accessory works, but the engine does not crank?

Have you tried hooking up a battery charger/maintainer while attempting start/accessory?

Do you have FORScan?

All indications point to the battery. Sure, it shows 12V but that doesn't mean that it can actually supply enough amperage to get the car going. Swap one from another car and see what happens.
