Installed a dozen suspensions in my day, but most if not all were probably done incorrectly. Using inadequate tools and a lot of sweat and tears. Looking to avoid this, do it correctly with the proper tooling and torque everything down the way it is supposed to be done.

Anyone have experience with this style strut spring compressor? looks to be a lot safer and should save tons of time.

Looks awesome! multiple spring sizes to avoid over-stressing the spring, very nice. I just went to autozone and renter theirs, cost me nothing and the tool was more than adequate to cover over springs.

That's the exact style tool I used to do mine! It was very well made and pretty confidence inspiring. They say not to use impact guns on it so i used a 21mm ratcheting wrench. Just make sure the spring is fully seated in the right size ring and you'll be fine. Mercedes Benz uses that tool for struts in their shops.

In the interest of sharing, these are the part numbers for the bolts/nuts that Ford says should, not recommends be replaced given various high torques on some of them. It seems like a pretty straight forward install after watching the CJPP video. Although they don't mention getting new bolts and nuts which i think should be corrected.

I suppose I should mention I'm installing the FRPP Track front struts and rear shock/springs, so some parts will be missing if you're doing just a spring swap.

I recommend making sure you at least get the strut nuts and bolts to have on hand. They can be a bear to pound out. I actually flattened the nut I was pounding on a bit so it doesn't thread back on. Luckily I had camber bolts waiting so I didn't really need all of them.

I planned to replace all the hardware I have to remove and torquing them accordingly. If all else fails I'll pick up the other style compressor you used, but I'm still curious about the Euro one I posted. Think It would work excellent.
