I think the point remains that the price difference between a comparable S550 and C7 is still huge, whether its 32k, or even a premium at $38k, vs 55-58k for a base C7 (I have yet to see a base C7 under 60k for sale anywhere in my area that exists).Opinion, no problem.
You know that the cars are adjustable ride height with a 10mm bolt, right? That example looks like one that is at max height. And yes, I've used the "4 cylinder mode" on the freeway to achieve over 30MPG. it's seemless and will move back to V8 mode w/o any issues if you shift or press the gas. Beats the best of 19.2 I get in my GT PP.
I was comparing my C6 436HP car to the Mustang 435HP, and then now I have a C7 and just said it makes the 435HP Mustang seem lacking and needing mods..
I see. Your facts are skewed. Base C7 is $55k MSRP. Nobody pays MSRP for Corvettes or Mustangs.

I haven't seen a Stock S550 approach those numbers, so yes, they are faster.
Hate all you want, I don't care as I own both and they are different cars.
Butt dyno maybe because it's turbocharged and stronger pull at the low end than the naturally aspirated 5.0I feel the opposite, I think it feels slow. But I drive a 441hp neon srt-4 as a daily
A small turbo engine with 440 HP sounds like a terribly laggy experience. Yeah, the power will be there but for a tiny sweep of the tach range. Other than the obvious disadvantages to that kind of a setup - I would say that it would be really fast 'in the zone', but most daily driving would be in the 'lag zone' of the engine - where it would feel like a 2.0 (or 2.5T) NA engin from over 10 years ago.Butt dyno maybe because it's turbocharged and stronger pull at the low end than the naturally aspirated 5.0
I think "fast" to you must mean the car is trying to wrestle the steering wheel out of your hands. That must be brutal... anything more civilized than that must feel slow.I feel the opposite, I think it feels slow. But I drive a 441hp neon srt-4 as a daily
12.52? I think every gt time I've seen is between 12.8-13.2. Who ran that time? The C7 is not that much faster 1/4 mile times 12.35 vs 12.52
A loaded GT premium MSRP $43k vs loaded 3lt C7 Z51 $80K MSRP
A base GT MSRP $32k vs base C7 $58K.MSRP
The C7 is such a great car they are selling way below invoice after only one year. If you really want a great deal buy a used one with a blown engine history.Lol
There is a timeslip thread here on the forum. A forum member ran it last week. Bonestock, zero mods to the car. It was an auto as well. Many other folks have run 12.6-12.7's.12.52? I think every gt time I've seen is between 12.8-13.2. Who ran that time?
Not doubting but that's far from what most will run IMO.If that time was a completely stock setup that's impressive, still far from the norm. But impressive.
