Stripes on Fresh Paint?

So I got stripes installed on my car about a month ago but unfortunately I got hit about a week after the install. Anyways the collision repair shop decided to replicate the stripes on their own despite me telling them they needed to be exactly the ones from BW graphics. Anyways the stripes are not straight and they don't tuck under the grille or meet the splitter like they did before(very shoddy work). The shop said they can't remove them because it will ruin the paint because its still curing so I will have to wait at least 6 months. At this point I just want them to remove the stripes and I take it to BW graphics myself to be replaced. My question is isn't it their responsibility to fix this issue even it requires them to repaint the bumper if the stripes remove the paint?

If you told them not to put the stripes on and they did then they are the ones to remove them at there expense. The paint should be dry now its modern paint not like the old school stuff. Its there problem how to remove them. I think a heat gun will take them right off.

If the shop did shoddy work to begin with, it's quite possible when they go to remove the stripes it will lift the paint.

It's on their dime. If you're not happy with the work, call your Insurance Company.

If it were me and my car and I saw the stripes were not installed correctly, I would not have signed off on anything as far as taking the car back until it was to my satisfaction.

You gave them specific instructions and they didn’t follow them. Did you give them in writing or verbally? If the latter you have no legal standing as they will say you never told them.

Of course it is, that’s not even a question. But are you willing to let them touch your car again. They didn’t listen to you, did a shitty job and then lied to you about the paint. I think you know what you need to do.
