GT500 is going to be designed as a drag race vehicle versus a track car like the GT350. It's supposed to be compared to the Hellcat/Demon which are not comparable to the GT350 designed for the road course track.
The GT500 will be faster around a road course than the GT350R.

If Ford is smart, it's squarely targeting the Camaro ZL1. Fast in a straight line and still maneuverable and fast around a road course. Who cares about a one trick pony like the Hellcat/Demon? I certainly don't.

Ford is certainly keeping the Mustang/Camaro race going. And with all of the hype, the ZL1 is going to have a run for its money. With the "post" of the stats, the torque is the same as the ZL1, but the added weight (4225) will slow the GT500 down eating up the extra horsepower as compared to the standard ZL1 weight of 3883.

I am looking forward to a head to head. I am sure GM will try and cram the ZR1 775 HP motor in the Camaro like they did the Z06.

for those who have taken the stripes off if the car is older than a year or two, was there any fading/discoloration from where the stripes were to where the unstriped part was?
I took mine off after over a year and 9k miles. No discoloration at all.

Not this guy again... I thought he got chased out of here
"No forced induction for me" and now it's "I want to see about the transmission before I decide."

This bench racing extraordinaire/troll needs the boot.
