I apologize for asking what might be a noob question, though I did attempt to search for this topic (and am a daily forum reader) but did not come up with much other than chambered mufflers might cause too much back pressure.
I was curious if doing a muffler delete and running straight pipes out would cause any issues with back pressure (or lack thereof rather) with the turbo. I grew up around muscle cars and know that it was common to see this on those, but was unsure how it would change performance with a turbo engine.
I understand that the sound might not be amazing, but so far nothing I've seen has caused me to fall in love with it. I figured I might give this a shot, see what it sounds like in person. Worst case scenario, I'm out a bit of money but can change back to factory without the money hit an aftermarket would cause me. Just hoping to play around a bit and see what sounds like what, but did not know what this might do for performance. I did see the reddit post where this had been done and spoke to the gentleman on reddit, seems worth a shot (for me).
Thanks!
