Have to store the 2022 Mustang for a few months. When I hook up a battery tender do I need to disconnect at least one battery cable? Concerned about the electronics.

No. Leave things connected.

I had to connect my tender via the fuse box.

I have mine in storage, i just start my car once a model on a warmer day above 32 deg.! I hope I am not hurt my car ? I do run it long enough to make sure everything gets to operating temperature!

This has been covered to death. Don't start it unless you're going to drive it. You do tons of wear idling a cold engine, and even if you see the coolant at temperature, the oil will never get there without driving. If you don't get the oil up to temperature, you won't cook off any moisture.

Don't start it unless you're going to drive it long enough to get the oil hot.

Just starting it does it more harm than good IMO.

Doing that causes moisture to build within the engine and exhaust. Just bringing it up to idle temp does not solve that.

There a lot of opinions on this. Some may disagree. I don't live in a cold climate. So my severe winterizing knowledge is limited.

But I can say a lot of steam comes out of the exhaust even in Houston's climate and it's been well known not to do this with classic cars.

I winterize my boat every season. And with that you do an engine fog to protect the cylinders.

I feel this the best option no matter the climate.

Doesn't have to be Amsoil.

becuase my trickle charger connectors are connected with eyelets. And the screws on the battery connectors can’t be backed out all the way. So I connected via the fuse box so o have a quick connect, disconnect
