Should I disconnect battery cables and connect battery tender, or just connect tender? I don't care if settings are lost.

IMO, it's best to leave the car as-is (battery in car, connected) and attach the tender, as recommended by the tender manufacturer.

Leave the battery in the car and connected, and on a tender. I put mine on a week/off a week.

Most important is something to stabilize the fuel and let it sit with fresh oil. I use a can of Seafoam or Marine Stabil, and have a fresh (under 500 miles) oil change in the car.

I also over pressure the tires to 60lbs to help prevent flat spots.

I may be a bit late this year as it woke up to snow this morning......

You dont remove a battery maintainer. Its make to monitor the battery and only charge as needed. You also dont have to do anything alse. Dont over think it. The car will start instantly and run perfect after a couple months of sitting just fine

I keep the tank full and I try to drive her every week or 2. It don’t snow all the time in the winter. I keep her on the main roads with no salt and crap.

I might throw a tender on this year but I’d miss driving the car.

What are the main benefits of covering the car? If the car sits uncovered and is washed in the spring?

Depends on where you store it .

I store mine in a 1 car heated garage. It's clean, garage door isn't opened. Pretty much dust free. I didn't cover it last winter. No dust in spring.

Even though I'm ceramic coated and environment is storage only with no work of any type performed in the space I cover the car.

As for me...... I can't sleep without at least a sheet over me.

So I treat it like I would treat myself.

Use a car cover to keep stuff off the car....like effin CATS with muddy paws and rocks in their toes who specifically do voodoo dances on top of cars with black roofs just to make sure every square inch is covered in paw prints, and then slide down the windshield like its a feline slipping slide.

I just bought a new 2022 mach1 with handling package. I did not expect my car would come at this time. It’s already cold where I live and am going to keep it in my garage until next spring. It has 15 miles on the dash. Can I still follow the break in procedure when I get it out in spring? Do I need to do anything special while it sits in my garage through the winter? Should I need to start and idle the car for some time once every week?

Read above posts, put your inquiry in the mach1 category and follow break in next year as you would have done this year.
