I actually just saw this on the news tonight which I normally don’t watch the news. At least in Los Angeles California anyway theives are now targeting and stealing electric vehicle charging cables. I know most people don’t charge their cars outside but some people have to. One of the people they interviewed had to pay $2700 for his new cable for his Tesla. The cables are of course filled with copper. It’s always something isn’t it.

I feel for any of you that live in CA and have to. It’s absolutely insane what has been allowed to transpire without any reprocussions.
I agree with you 100%. I grew up in Chicago and moved out here. I’m 55 years old and the goal is retire in two years but not here.

The worst part is that the same ideas that are ruining California are now being exported to all other states. I don't understand the cognitive dissonance behind it all anymore.

Same thing is happening in Oakland. Thieves are stealing cables at commercial charging stations.

The news story that I was watching said it was for the copper. It’s just so amusing to me that as they bring these to the places to get their money you would think that they would question it but of course not.

I've heard they are proposing tax penalties for people who leave CA.

Hello; It has been many years now since it happened, but one of my former students was a copper thief. My guess is he did not pay much attention in the two or three years he was in my general science classes, 6th to 8th grade. I say that because he was trying to rob heavy copper wire that was live. That he was killed and made the news is how i learned of his actions.

I get your question about receiving stolen goods, but it seems the rules are changed.

Like it or not we have been taken over by mob rule.
Those in power fear riots, so they allow it, as long as they keep them in the drivers seat.
They have hand cuffed the police from doing their jobs and once all the retailers close up shop inthahood, they will be coming to your town.
I don't get it, When they hear of the mob rule trashing a place, most state I.D.G.A.F. as it is their hood they trashing.
We went over to a sand pit to fight to keep it out of here, but when it comes to this, they do nothing, allowing the mob to grow and get bolder. not wise, but what do I know.
