Would stock non-PP GT suspension (struts, shocks, springs, sway bars) be an upgrade for non-PP Ecoboost? Are they the same? Work at all with V6?

Same question, for stock non-PP GT front brakes.

Please also explain whether why they would not, as I am wanting to learn.

The only time you should have an issue is if you try to use Shelby brakes and such. All the non Shelby parts interchange, but they may require bigger wheels or new brake lines, but all the parts you mentioned interchange between the models.

Just to add to the original post, what is different between PPGT suspension and non-PP GT suspension? Is it just the springs? Are struts the same? Will PP springs work on non-PP struts and lower the car a bit?

Just curious as I have a friend who removed his PP springs. While I would most likely go aftermarket if I was to do new springs anyway, I'm just wondering if those PP springs would offer any kind of benefit to my non-PP car. I have the 20" Foundry wheels and while the wheel gap isn't terrible, I wouldn't mind it being slightly smaller but don't want a harsher ride.

A friend upgraded to aftermarket suspension and gave me his GT PP components...struts, shocks, sway bars and springs. All are an upgrade from stock GT.
I don't believe the car is lower (at least noticeably), but it handles better and is definitely a stiffer ride. Would not describe it as harsh by any means, however. I also still have 20" square setup. (I originally had the foundry wheels.)

Are all those GT stock suspension components an upgrade for the other models? None are the same between them? I know for sure that the non-PP GT stock front brakes are the same as PP Ecoboost front brakes but that is pretty much the extent of my knowledge.

Front Springs and front struts and sway bars may be too stiff for the lighter Ecoboost models. V6 would probably be okay just more stiff than the GTPP.

So, non-PP GT suspension is an upgrade for the V6 but not the Ecoboost? Huh, I would have thought the opposite.

One thing you have to take into account for is the different weights of the engines. The suspensions are designed to work with the engines in addition to the PP options. You would not to put GT suspensions under an Ecoboost. Same with the V6. Even the GT's have different setups depending on coupe, convertible or PP options.

Would this type of logic apply to the non-PP GT front brakes as well?
Non-PP GT brakes + non-PP Ecoboost or V6 = bad idea?

The GT brakes would just be extra stopping power on an Eco or V6, and for production cars they might be installed across the different models for the same cost?

So it sounds like this...
The stock non-PP GT suspension components taking up space in my garage are only truly compatible with another non-PP GT.
But the non-PP GT front brakes are a potential upgrade for a non-PP Ecoboost or a V6.

Is this correct?

You have it down now. :headbang:

So put a for sale sign on those brake calipers and rotors.
