Hi Everyone, I am new here and waiting for my first mustang. The current EDD on my order is June 8th. I am planning to order Sto-n-Sho plates for my car. I live in Ontario and I believe we are required to have front plates. I have the following questions. Any advice is helpful
  1. Is it legal to have these in Ontario?
  2. Good website to order? Or a store I can walk in?
  3. Price range? I believe $100 - $150 CAD from most websites I checked
  4. What other License front license plate ideas are available?
  5. How easy is it to install these? How long does it take?
  6. Can the dealer install this for me? How much does it cost to install?
Thanks Again. Have a good day

I believe they are legal in Ontario, although not 100% sure (I grew up in Ontario, and have driven around the province with a couple of my cars with these brackets and not been pulled over or hassled). LMR.com, American Muscle, CJ Pony Parts are all good places to order them from. Your price range is pretty much inline with I paid for mine ($89.99 USD), Super easy to install, no need to have a dealer do it or pay labor to have it done as there is one screw on the car, and a couple of bolts to attach the plate to the bracket that holds it. Took me around 5 minutes to install mine in the driveway.

Just curious on why it would be illegal? I would think you could find that out though. In the US, each state posts its rules for license plates....as in if a front plate is needed or not, the way it needs to be displayed etc.

I have this: http://ccmustangbrackets.com/

I like it better than the other options because if you ever want to add a splitter, the plate wont be in the way. No issues and I live in Ontario as well. The only issue occurs if you have no front plate. This bracket is also very easy to remove

Damn wish I knew about this bracket before the dealer drilled holes in my front bumper looks great.
As long as your front plate is showing and mounted to the front of the car shouldn't be a problem. They tried to pass no front plate law recently but it got thrown out.

DaSilva Racing in Pickering has them in stock, more than willing to install for you.

Yes they are legal in Ontario

I don't know if Craig is making 18+ brackets but I'd try and do something like that. The stow and sho looks a little silly so low and sticking so far forward of the car.

I'll gladly second the Craig's Custom bracket. I had the Sto n Sho and hated it. The Craig's bracket feels more sturdy and just flat out looks better.

I have the Craig's bracket and wouldn't rock anything else. I don't remember where I ordered it from. I seen the sto-n-show ones at DaSilvas but never cared for how they looked.

I have the bracket on my car, I got it from DaSilva Racing, located in Pickering, I have looked at the others and picked this one

I just ordered a Craig's Bracket directly. Came to $97 loonies after shipping and exchange. I'll post a new thread showing the installation once I have it.

Got the Craig's Bracket last week. Went to put it on over the weekend... they sent the wrong kit!
I ordered for 2019 model but they sent me the 2015-2017 bracket which is too fat to fit on the bumper lip.
Contacted them and waiting for a response.

You can try to contact DaSilva Racing and see if they will trade you
