Hey, bit of a weird one. I noticed when driving today that after braking if I slowly lift my foot off the brake pedal there is a slight delay before it releases and comes back up.

I have issues with my discs anyway. Not happy with how they feel, they are all ridged. Front discs also have pad outlines on the discs. Just noticed it the other day (not from me!)

Not sure if the two are related?

So yeah, does anyone else notice a slight delay when lifting off the brake? I can replicate it quite easily, don't lift the foot away too high just a smidge to leave a gap between your sole and the pedal. And there is a delay before the pedal moves up and touches your foot.

Car stops fine. Pedal isn't soft or spongy. Brake fluid has been changed and bled. I wonder if its some sort of binding with my scored discs. (pics here https://www.mustang6g.com/forums/threads/rear-discs-is-this-normal.174390/)

Thanks.

I think I might just replace the discs and pads and see how that goes. I'm guessing nothing people on here have seen before, so hopefully it's just the discs causing the slight lag with the pedal. :like:

Dunno if this is related but there's a recall on the rubber stop behind the brake pedal, apparently it would cause the brake lights to stay on when the pedal was released. You might want to have a look at the entire system before replacing anything.
