Ok, so I replaced all my speakers, added an amp in the trunk...about 6 months ago or so. I did this by cutting the harnesses in the drivers kick panel and soldering in wire to RCA adapters, using the wiring diagram that was posted on this forum. Everything worked great until yesterday. I started getting tons of static for every audio source. The sub kept popping, and it sounded like all of the speakers were about to jump out of their holes. I am thinking something came loose in the kick panel, as when I unplugged the RCA's from the amp, the noise went away. Obviously, now I have no sound at all.
I know this is not a true tech help forum, but I just wondered if anyone can confirm by basic troubleshooting before I take the car apart.
