I have the GT premium without the shaker system. I'm not looking to go crazy, but possibly swap out the door speakers and add an amp and a sub to give it some base. I'm not an audiophile, but I do know some of the basics and think this car could use some upgrades....anyone here have the 9 speaker system and upgraded yet?

mine looks stock from inside the car, only way you can tell there was some aftermarket work is looking in the trunk to see the DSPs and amp. Very easy to hide wire in this car

Your pics look great....I would think 2 10" subs would put out plenty of bass, but I guess some folks want the huge bass sound...Mind me asking how much your system ran? About $1500?

Swapped out rear deck speakers for JBL GTO 629s. $60. Woke up the system a little. Just got a Rockford Fosgate P 300 10 inch 300 watt self powered kicker. $165. Hopefully will be getting installed this week end.

I think so too...would like to have some kind of sub in it...nothing crazy, just like some bass in the car. The subs in the rear deck are a nice thought...but would probably want it done professionally since I don't have the time to do it all...lol.

Got the self powered Rockford Fosgate P300-10 installed. Now my 9 speaker premium sound system, sounds like a premium sound system.
Tapped off of the rear speakers with a line out convertor. Set kicker to turn on when it senses a signal from the speaker.
Sounds great, small footprint in my trunk, and it only cost $165.

Stereo wise, I am finally content with the sound.

This is picure from when I test fit it

Can't seem to rotate it. It has a very small footprint and a very big sound.

Looks good...seems like you still have trunk space as well...how is it attached to the car?

Right now velcro strips on the bottom . No movement, but I haven't driven the car hard.
There is plenty of room in the trunk. The box is 19 inches long. Nine inches wide on the bottom and tapers towards the top to about 6 or 7 inches. It is only 13 inches tall.
Sound is good. Really fills out the low end and it has a lot of punch. For $165, I am really happy.
The sound system finally sounds the way it should have when it came from the factory.
