The cost and location of the business has turned me away. Even at $1k I would be more than happy with that but having a company that is located across the world and almost 12hrs ahead in time is not my cup of tea. Plus there is a lack of communication on more info on the system. I have asked several times about the OS and install and just get the answer it is there OS and I will get detailed instructions when it ships. I am done looking st this route hopefully someone stateside will do something like this. They will sell like hot cakes lol

If only someone could find a way to seamlessly integrate the new Android Auto enabled Pioneer head unit into the base model I'd probably just go with that instead of spending money on GT Premium w/PP.
This is exactly what I want, I'm looking to drop an 8100NEX in time with the release of a bezel. Android auto is wicked!

I've installed for several major retailer for over 10yrs and my advice is becareful with these oem replacement systems. Reliability and functionality is usually an issue with these type of options. Raxiom has been one of the better ones so far that I've seen but still won't compare to something like a 8100NEX. Your going to have problems with just about any radio system now a days because stereo are way more complex then they were 10yrs ago but problems are less like to occur with companies like pioneer or alpine because their customer/technical support is way better. Research the companies first before buying anything and see what people like a hate about their products because want to deal with a poor system while youre driving 70mph down the road.

The 8100NEX looks like a killer option if someone would make a bezel and installation kit. I starting to think I should have just bought a premium car haha

I agree, hunting down bugs is a difficult and time consuming process. Letting a big company like Pioneer do it would be choice you wont regret. I dont want my console bugging up when I need it the most on the road

I own 12v audio shop and as of right now (just had a conference call 3 weeks ago that confirmed this) the only kit manufacture that has said that they are considering making a kit is Scosche. They say they are a year away. The kit isn't the problem. It is the interface to make the aftermarket head unit work with the can U.S. system of the car. I had purposely ordered a base model interior as I knew we would be doing audio upgrades. After talking with Idatalink (maestro) 3 days before production was supposed to start on my car, I found out that they were no where close to having an interface ready. Luckily my dealer let me cancel my order and they located me a premium car so I would have navigation. As I hear about updates on kits, etc. I will let you guys know.

Have you spoken to Metra? What did they say? ABout 2 months ago I emailed them and they said it would be late 2015 before they had a kit. That could have easily been a generic answer, not fully aware of all that was involved. Wow, and Scoshe is 'considering', but not planning... Ouch!

Looks like I may just be integrating my equipment with the stock radio for now.

If someone could just create a bezel, that would be a great start.

Whats taking so long for aftermarket on 2015

I love my car in many ways, it's 7 days old tomorrow. And I am actually ok with the base radio as far as function, would like to upgrade speakers with some direct but better, more bass, correct size units. the car has been on the market 7 months? and nothing yet? Crutchfield should be embarrassed with zero fitment, how hard can it be. Also why has no one made a direct fit set of something, holy crap. Seems odd to me its taking this long?

Just want a little more bass and maybe more efficient so can get more undistorted volume out of base unit.

Was also considering an underseat sub, but it looks like there may be none that will safely fit??

My 1st rant, hope I did ok

Won't give you more bass, but the JBL GTO638's come with a bracket and fit nicely without cutting up the stock speakers. I used these in the back but they may also fit in the door. They give noticeably more treble and mids.

Thanks for the tip

That's the 1st good info on a direct no cutting option, thanks.

My main concern is just a little more non boomy bass. Guess trunk sub, is only choice on these cars.

Looks like Ford made them a little too odd for normal fitment of anything anywhere. Oh well.
