Just to shed some light on some points. There is no speed that the VIN should be assigned in because it all depends on what quarter your allocation is for. Also for most in the Northeast region there was an issue ordering except if you used the old system of Conceps, and we couldn't get a DORA. That should be fixed today per Ford Motor Co. Also please don't rely on COTUS, it's cool to get an idea but it's not 100% accurate.

Do you know if the newer system requires the order be palced later? I have had 2 dealers now tell me they cannot order until the 2nd week of June (California dealer)

my dealer says that he has the DORA for the order but that's not a guarantee that we will get the car because they are given out through a dealer lottery. any thoughts on this.

This is something that I've been curious about. Will the system allow you to order even if the dealer has no allocation or, has already used their allocation for a previous order and if so, will Ford still accept it with a DORA?

No, without allocation you will not be able to order.

That is just not true regarding lottery. Dealers KNOW their allocation at this point. That is what they can order.

My lottery statement may have been off.....I did'nt take the 15's in to account. I did hear today from my dealer that the lottery is done on the 15's, so he might have given you right scoop. 16's are allocation only.
