Did they replace any suspension parts after the accident?

Work that was done was tie rods new steering wheel. Left side ball joint and a new steering rack

That wouldn't leave me with a lot of confidence considering all of those things could have an effect on it.

Took the car to service. Service manager rode with me and said the steering wheel shouldn’t do that. He didn’t want to take it though. Had to go to their body shop who worked on the car for the past 3 weeks.

@hamzah596, did the dealership fix your issue? I assume the problem was alignment related, but am curious to hear the outcome.

It wasn’t alignment. Collision “forgot” to replace upper steering shaft that was damaged from the accident. But oddly service ended up fixing it. Service noticed it wasn’t replaced but they didn’t say anything either. Guy said it wasn’t their business and they weren’t allowed to test drive the car for more than 45 MPH (insurance reasons)

Wow, that seems like a significant oversite! Glad it got fixed in the end.

Hey guys I’ve been having an issue ever since I got in an accident about a year ago and ever since the car never felt right to me, feels wonky when steering. I checked the bolts mentioned in this forum and they are tight however, the lower shaft that connects to the yoke has play. Is that normal? Or is it suppose to be tight?

Nah. Take it back and have it checked

Update

Thank you [MENTION=16819]Roh92cp[/MENTION] and [MENTION=19262]Zitrosounds[/MENTION] !! I checked the torx bolt (green arrow below) as suggested and sure enough it was loose. I no longer have the free play in my steering wheel after I torqued this bolt!

Now the light blue arrow, I didn't check this (nor the one up higher near the firewall, not pictured). Could you post the torque specs of those when you get a chance?

Hello how did you tighten the torx screw? I looked at it from the top of the engine bay and getting a rachet on it looked impossible.
Do i get it from jacking up the car?
