Alright, so I'm in a bit of a pickle. I replaced the factory steering wheel with an aftermarket carbon fiber one and for some reason, the steering wheel buttons no longer work.

A couple of things to note:
1. The aftermarket steering wheel is just a frame, the buttons/electronics were transferred over from the factory wheel.
2. The steering wheel buttons light up normally and have power, for example at night.
3. I verified there is no wire pinching or wires snagged. Even if that was the case, it wouldn't affect ALL the buttons.
4. Because they have power, I know the harness is connected properly.

A couple of questions:
1.What would cause the buttons to not work?
2. I have ForScan and looked at the SCCM, but both left and right modules say "Incorrect values or not configured". I think this may be the issue but am having a hard time finding the proper values. (Not 100% sure how to load the as built data from the ForScan app. When I tried it, nothing changed)

Generally, it's not a HUGE issue, but my service tire mobility kit notification has come on and I can't dismiss or change it.

Do the buttons work if you put the factory wheel back in? Have you checked fuses?
No, I have not transferred the original wheel back in. Unless there's some sort of transponder in the wheel itself, it shouldn't make a difference since the harness and buttons were all transferred over.

Recheck your work. I would guess a connector is not seated properly or a pin has bent or pushed out of the connector.

The problem is probably very simple. Search for a simple answer.

Eliminate variables.

I'd bet a dollar to a donut you didn't put connectors back completely. Redo your work and make sure all pushed in all the way. I had that issue on mine when replacing the steering clockspring. One looked like it was all the way in, but when I pulled everything apart, it was obvious is needed to be pushed ~ 1mm further.

I've pulled it a part a few times and the buttons are receiving power, so I don't think this is the case, but will pull it apart one more time this afternoon. I wonder if there is a short somewhere in the main connector.

Doublecheck the tiny wire harness that connects to buttons. Ford did such a shitty job via routing the harness wires at factory during installation and left them directly in the line of fire when I removed my steering wheel for the first time. they didn't configure them out of the way from the The 4mm allen key hole. So when i stuck the allen key into hole hitting the spring to remove airbag, i accidentally hit wires and broke open a few of my wires. I wouldve never knew this unless i visiually inspected the wires. When i put wheel back on car the right side buttons didnt work, they were hitting each other and shorting out. I removed steering wheel and inspected small harnesses only to find the damage. I was lucky to see the damage and quickly and separate wires and apply Permatex LIQUID ELECTRICAL TAPE to damaged insulation and wires and allow to dry and then rerouted them away from those holes and under switches. Just a possibility! Hope this helps!

P.S> I have removed and installed steering wheel 6-10x now. I gotta a good feel for it now and realized these small issues.
