Hey yall! I have a 2015 mustang 50th anniversary. My steering wheel buttons have stopped working, so I cannot play/start music, cruise control, call, etc. has anyone been able to fix this? I’ve looked all over the internet and cannot find an answer. Called ford dealership and they want to charge over 200$ to “look” at it and cannot guarantee they will fix it. Please help!

You will probably have to replace what is known as the "clock spring.". It's a device under the steering wheel that allows electric devices to work when the steering wheel turns. It's not that hard to do if you're handy. Check youtube for how to videos. Be sure to buy a Ford OEM part.

Do both sides not work or just one? I had the left side go out, and it was the switch assembly. It was easy to get out, but I could not verify that it was actually faulty. Took it to the dealer and they verified it, and I felt stupid since I could have replaced it for much less than they charged.

The right side does not work at all and the bottom left does not work. The top left works though. Is there a different assembly for each side or is it just one assembly for all the buttons? If you don't mind, posting where you bought the assembly. Thank you!

There is a different switch cluster for each side. The dealer installed the new one so that's where it came from. Of course it was just out of warranty...

ah gotcha. debating on doing it myself if that is indeed what it is. It stopped working like 5 years ago, just never got around to fixing it. My mustang has been giving me problems for yearsssss. Thankfully they finally recalled the back up camera. That stopped working years ago too. Now my heating/cooling seats gave out on me. I have a laundry list for my car. 😕

The switch was replaced about five years ago, so that's probably what it is. Thankfully the only problems so far is the switch and the loft rear axle nut loosened up. I should take mine in for the backup camera, but it works fine for now. I also avoid buying the first year of a new model.

There are 4 button clusters in the steering wheel, two on each side. Last time I checked they ran between $35 to $50ish each. They changed between models and years a little bit so be careful when ordering.
I still feel like the clock spring is a likely suspect for your problem though.
Does your horn work? Any airbag lights?

Yes horn works and airbag works. No engine check lights on in my car. You might be right too. I have no idea lol. Its annoying to not be able to use my car buttons at all. Willing to change anything really.
