I installed a freaking Whipple Supercharger... no problem. Barton short throw? Forget about it... piece of cake. First forum member to pull OEM spoiler and post about it.... check. First to show dash ripped apart for nGauge installation... yeah that was The Bastage. Suffered through my own header install, and wear my fading scars like a badge of honor.

But, now I have been humbled. I'm kicking the absolute shit out of my garage door because I can't get these damn Steeda Vertical Links installed. 4 bolts have kicked my ass for hours. I cannot get the bottom bolts to line up AT ALL. I watched the CJ Pony video... and as always they make it look simple. For me this ain't simple, and it's pissing me off.:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:

Any help would be appreciated from someone who has completed this install.

I jacked on the small overhang near the lower bolt spot and the bolt slipped right in.

Have you tried reaching out to anyone from Steeda prior to posting about your install? That's usually your best bet to find a streamlined solution to what you're experiencing. If you'd like, I can have you speak to someone tomorrow morning to maybe shed some light on completing the install.

Whoah, slow down. Didn't talk smack about your product, I just mentioned out of frustration how difficult it is (for me) to put the lower bolts back in. The few videos that could be found either edit out the difficulty (the CJ Pony video) or time lapse through it (only mentioning the difficulty of the lower bolt install after the project was complete).

It's Sunday night; no businesses are open, so I reached out to the forum. Doesn't matter now. I got them installed after speaking in tongues and beating everything into submission with a Donkey Kong sized rubber mallet.

The product is sound, and well built. The install just took me WAY LONGER than it should have. In the future, providing my projects line up with your business hours, I will contact you first.

***Edit***

Now that I've had a couple of drinks and have calmed down, I realize that "Hit it with a hammer" won't exactly be helpful for the next guy that isn't lucky enough to have everything line up easily. What Varekai said worked for me, ultimately. Start with the bottom bolts (hand tighten half way down), then using a rubber mallet you can strike the vertical link up into position so that you can push the top bolts through. It won't be simple; on one side I had to carefully use a combination of the hammer and a pry bar. This is the method that worked for me.

Thank you for the help guys.

I removed the bolt at the hub's top, between the hub and horizontal upper link, when installing the Steeda vertical links. That helped everything move around freely so I could get the vertical link bolts to line up.

It was the drinks that really helped  that bottle of Sake saved parts of my car and headers from getting kicked into the steet.

very strange, i put mine in in 30 min. One side went right in without any prying and aligning needed. I used my low profile jack to help align the bolt holes

I spent 2 hours trying to get these links on with no success, getting drunk still didn't result in the links being installed.

In the morning I realized, if you loosen (but don't remove) a couple of bolts you can get just enough deflection to line up to bolts, then tighten everything back up. After I did that, I was done with the other side in less than 30min.
