What an absolute bitch of an install...

Finally did it this morning. Was a lot easier with help. One person with a pry bar and another screwing the bolt in. Probably 10 minutes! :frusty:

Off-topic: Are the toe-links and subframe stuff (subframe bushings and differential bushing) any easier or should I just take this shit to a shop?

Congrats! The differential bushings are pretty easy IF you remove the catback exhaust before you get started. If you don't, you won't be able to drop the front far enough to get in there to work on it and it will take forever. Otherwise it's easy. I don't remember the exact detail but there was one tricky part about the subframe bushings. I'm not the best at finding old info on here but I posted about it last summer when I did my install. Honestly, neither were that bad and I'm glad I did them at home instead of paying someone to do it.

I highly recommend the Steeda subframe alignment kit before dropping the subframe for anything! Many of these came from the factory misaligned, we were hearing up to half inch. Easy install, especially since you'll be dropping the subframe anyway, not much money and ensures the subframe is aligned.

Thanks a lot jbailer. That helps a lot.

I'll see what happens tomorrow. I do have the whole kit and most of the other Steeda stuff ready to go.

Will start with the sway bar and subframe support brace and have a look at what needs to be done under there.

Worst case scenario I'll take it to the shop for all the subframe stuff in one go and do the rest at home. Shouldn't take them too long I think.

I have the BMR Cradle Lockout kit installed. Question is can I use the Steeda subframe alignment kit in combination with the Steeda kit? BTW I bought the Vertical link kit SR off a local guy and I started the install and gave up. The bottom bolt I could not get aligned and only wife was there to help and she just painted her finger nails and in all honesty it was best she did not help since this install was starting to bring bad words out of my mouth. When I saw aluminum shavings falling on garage floor that is when I told myself STOP before you end up replacing lower control arm.

I'm not familiar with the BMR cradle lockout but I can't see a reason why you couldn't use the Steeda subframe alignment kit with it. If you look at the install instructions and see where they go, I think you'll see they wouldn't interfere at all.

I didn't have help either installing those vertical links. Anyone watching would have gotten quite the laugh! I think I was using my body as leverage on the pry bar. I remember just wishing I had 1 more hand.

HybridGT, glad you got it worked out! I found two people was much easier than 1 as well!

And I did not get anew alignment afterwards. I think I remember asking David and he said I shouldn't need one, but don't quote me on that. David@Steeda, am I remembering that correctly?

According to CJPP, you don't need an alignment after instilling vertical links.

No alignment is needed when installing our vertical links, they are the same geometry as factory :)
