Just wanted to get some feedback on Steeda's tunes for a basic bolt on setup. How was drivability, reliability, and customer service?

Please don't respond with "You should get Lund or PBD". I can read about that all day long. I'm just looking at all my options and want actual feedback from people who have or had a Steeda tune.

I believe “Tuning by James” does the tuning for Steeda.

I can tell you some attributes while others weigh-in. Our tunes are written to be safe, reliable & powerful. The same tunes we write for our Steeda Serialized Vehicles, sold through the Ford Dealer Network are the same tunes we write for our customers - ensuring they won't precipitate damage or cause warranty concerns.

I am always an email away to help support - please let me know if I can help assist further:

I do have the Steeda tune on my 2019 Mustang GT - no complaints. It is a night & day difference - it's an auto, when getting on it, the wheels chirp throughout the shifts, that didn't have that before. Matt did a tremendous job & its spot on.

Thanks!

Tj

We work with James from a strategic standpoint ... Matt H. is our lead tuner at Steeda.

I will have to confirm with Matt - we can include multiple tunes but not sure I have seen 85 included.

Shoot me your contact info to [email protected]

Looks like after filling out the tune request form there are 2 options and E85 is included.

When I bought my s197 it was Steeda tuned. Not a bad tune but my AED felt noticeably stronger and smoother. The Steeda tune would buck some when cold while the AED was butter smooth. Just my experience

So far I'm waiting on a final response from Matt at Steeda. Was told only 18+ can get an E85 tune. Kinda find it odd as other tuners are able to write E85 tunes for 15+ mustangs without upgrading. Anyone know what's the difference between gen2 and gen3 cars? I know 18+ cars have 28lb injectors and 15-17 have 34lb injectors.

"new 5.0 features dual-fuel, high-pressure direct injection with low-pressure port fuel injection."

My 2016 has an e85 tune. But it’s not a Steeda tune. I used Shrader Performance out of NC. If you have a stock IM the stock injectors will work. If you upgrade the manifold then you need at least the 47# injectors.

Not trying to sway you, but if you are looking at all options....He’s been great for my tuning.

Yeah I'm running a stock IM. I purchased the tuner from Steeda thinking E85 was an option after filling out the tuning page. Odd I'm being told E85 is not available for 15-17 when you have to select the year and model of your car. Next the from gives you 2 options with E85 being available on tune 1 and tune 2. If Steeda doesn't tune for E85 for gen2 cars they should take that option off to cause less confusion. Live and learn I guess

There’s no reason why they can’t. So if they still say they can’t then I’d ask for a refund and close the order out since they haven’t shipped it and technically it’s their error not yours. I would think they can make it right for you. If they can’t I would question their tuning since it seems almost all other tuners can. Trust me, you want E85....my car is night and day different on E compared to 93.
